Brian Joseph Beegle, of Columbia and son of Larraine and Joseph Beegle, graduated cum laude from Elon University in North Carolina with a bachelor's degree in journalism.

Jennifer Marie Beegle, of Columbia and daughter of Larraine and Joseph Beegle, graduated from Elon University in North Carolina with a bachelor's degree in communication after spending the spring semester in Italy.

Sarah Kane, of Columbia and daughter of Katherine Raley and Robert Kane, has been selected to receive the Dudley May Hughes Scholarship awarded by the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences for the 2008-09 academic year.
