Catherine and Chaim Bejm, of Laurel, announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Bejm, to Kristopher Burton, son of Carol and Ray Burton, of Jarrettsville.

The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Atholton High School and a 2006 graduate of Towson University. She is a special education teacher at Marriotts Ridge High School.

The future groom is a 1995 graduate of Calvert Hall College High School and is currently attending Strayer University majoring in business administration. He has worked for Verizon Communications since 1998.

A Nov. 15 wedding is planned.

John Humphreys, of Marriottsville, announces the engagement of his daughter, Wendy Eve Humphreys, to Kevin Andrew Meetze, son of Carol and William Meetze, of Hamburg, N.Y. The future bride's mother is the late Janet Humphreys.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where she majored in biology and theater arts. She is a biology teacher and musical theater director at Annapolis High School.

The future groom is a graduate of Fredonia State University. He is an information technology specialist in Washington.

An October wedding is planned.
