Roberta and Stuart Breslow, of Columbia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Breslow, to Michael Gelinas, son of Mary and Donald Gelinas, also of Columbia.

The bride-to-be received a bachelor's degree in education from Towson University and is currently enrolled in a graduate program in educational technology at Loyola College. She is a fourth grade teacher for Howard County public schools.

The future groom received a bachelor's degree in business from Salisbury University. He is a financial analyst with Morgan Stanley.

An Aug. 1, 2009, wedding is planned.
