Arlene and Alan Bardy, of Greensboro, N.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Bardy, to Andrew Langsam, son of Linda Langsam Haas and Stan Langsam, of Columbia.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and received her master's degree from Harvard University. She works for U.S. Agency for International Development.

The future groom is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in engineering and works for Turner Construction Company.

The couple live in Washington. A fall wedding is planned in the mountains of Asheville, N.C.
