Atholton High Class Of ‘78 All-Points Alert

How do you gather 250 classmates after 30 years including silence for the last 20 years? Atholton High School Class of ’78 is working on the answer to that question. Laura Bassler Kimmel recently contacted me for information about Terry Williams, one of the missing classmates.

Do you know where and how to contact Terry Williams? Do you know the whereabouts of others from AHS Class of ‘78? Please share your knowledge. Laura deserves a tremendous amount of credit for tracking down half the class, but she needs your help to locate those still missing.

Atholton High School Class of ’78 is having a 30-year reunion on Oct. 11. The timing is perfect as Oct. 11 is the date for homecoming this year. It will be the first gathering of classmates in 20 years. Imagine all the catching up they will be doing. They’ve been invited to participate in the Homecoming Parade and be special guests at the game. Laura’s advice on how to find them is just look for the “old geezers” at Homecoming. That’s probably what current students will call them. It’s all a matter of perspective.

AHS Homecoming is at 2 p.m. Some of the classmates will be getting together at Ruby Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. The actual official Reunion is from 7-11 p.m. at the Gathering Place. Classmate Bobby Mitchell’s Putting on the Ritz will be catering the affair. It’s sure to be memorable and a day all members of the Class of ’78 would want to attend if they knew. Please contact Laura at lvkimmel@aol.com or 410-531-7004.
