The annual Family Campfire at WSSC-Brighton Dam Recreation Area will be held Friday, Oct. 3 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The picnic is sponsored by the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission on behalf of the Patuxent Reservoirs Watershed Protection Group to promote watershed protection.
Expect marshmallows, fun and education about protecting your water supply. Bring unbreakable cups, a flashlight, blanket or chairs and long sticks for roasting marshmallows. They’ll be providing water and s’mores ingredients.
Entertainment will be provided by Just 3 Guys who sing a mix of music for all ages with jokes, skits and sight gags. The event is free, but space is limited and registration is essential. To register your family, go to www.wsscwater.com, find Hot Topics and click Family Campfire. For more info, call Sandy August, WSSC Community Outreach Representative at 301-206-8240.
