Doggonnit! The time for the 4th Annual K-9 Support Dog Wash Fundraiser at Dogtopia, in Clarksville, is this Sunday, July 13 , 11 a.m.-3 p.m. If you arrive at the time previously posted, you’ll be very early and staff will not be ready to greet you. Howard County Master Gardener Jane Hayes is hoping lots of people will come to Schooley Mill Park to learn about backyard composting.
Free talks will be held near the horse ring through October on the second Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m., except in October when it’s at 6 p.m., or the fourth Saturday of the month at 9 a.m.
You’ll get a free talk, free composting bin and soon you’ll have free organic fertilizer. It’s really a very simple process. If I can do it, you can too. There will also be information on red worm composting. Soon you could have free fishing bait.
Don’t clog the landfill. Learn to use your organic matter. Mother Nature will thank you.
