Posted: July 8, 2009

Kristin Lehr Harvey has taken over for Susan Lavin as the new Elkridge neighborhood columnist.

Kristin grew up in and has lived in the Elkridge community all of her life. In 1984, she was voted Little Miss Elkridge and from then on, she knew it was a place she wanted to be.

For the past five years, Kristin has worked for the Howard County Police Department as a 911 operator, serving the citizens and the community with emergency and non-emergency calls. She is also an active member with the Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department and the Ladies Auxiliary, where she enjoys fundraising events and supporting them with the things that they need.

Kristin also balances a home life in the Harwood Park community, as well, with her husband and two daughters.

If you have items of community note, photographs you’d like to see in the paper or want to get the word out on an upcoming event or happening, e-mail Kristin at mrk928@verizon.net or call her at 443-277-0373.
