Susan Lavin’s Obedient plants will be ready to thin in a few weeks. (Photo by Susan Lavin).
I plan to sort out some of my perennial flowers and outdoor plants in a few weeks. I have too many Black-eyed Susans and Obedient plants, and my Hostas need to be divided. If you have plants that also need to be thinned out, and are interested in an old-fashioned plant swap, please let me know. I will gather the names of neighbors interested and organize a swap. If you’d like to be on the list, simply email me at susan.lavin@comcast.net
I wanted to pass along this disturbing information to all my Elkridge neighbors. A recent attempt of burglary was made at Parkview, in Elkridge. Evidently, two men approached and knocked on a door, saying they were scheduled to move furniture. The young lady who answered the door was alert, and said she wasn’t expecting anyone to move furniture, and promptly closed the door and locked it. The men tried to get in, but she was quick enough that they were unable.
Remember, if something like that happens to you, lock your door and call the police at 911 as soon as you can.
The inaugural Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department Golf Tournament is in a few weeks! The day of raising funds for a new fire station is Monday, Sept. 15.
