These trick or treats are truly sweet

Brad Carpenter, Heather Perry and the membership of Glenelg High School’s Key Club are collecting more than candy this Halloween. In conjunction with UNICEF and the Kiwanis International Foundation, the local Key club members are raising money for the Swazi Children Care Project.

This lifesaving program funds hundreds of neighborhood care centers where orphaned and vulnerable children can receive meals, shelter, medical care, education and protection.

The Key Club members will accept donations during the football game at Glenelg High Friday, Oct. 31, 7 to 9 p.m. Some members will collect donations in our neighborhood during regular trick or treat hours. All money will be sent to UNICEF for donation to the program which aids these high-risk children.
