Ellicott City resident Andrea Willis was named an account executive with Mom Corps, an Atlanta-based staffing company that provides job opportunities for experienced professionals who require flexibility and nontraditional career options.

A mother of one, Willis holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees from La Salle University. Wills joins Mom Corps with extensive experience in sales, marketing, and recruiting. She will work in the company's Washington, D.C. office.

The Howard County Economic Development Authority has announced that Provident Bank has joined the Route 1 Revitalization Loan Program.

To revitalize and redevelop U.S. Route 1, the Howard County Economic Development Authority established a revitalization loan program to encourage businesses to improve building and site conditions along Route 1.

Audacious Inquiry, a management and technology firm headquartered in Howard County's Center for Business and Technology Development's NeoTech Incubator, grew at the fourth fastest rate from 2006-2007 among privately held businesses in the Baltimore area, according to a special report from the Baltimore Business Journal. Its 2007 revenue of $1.4 million was a 150 percent year-over-year increase.

Netrino, headquartered in Howard County's Center for Business and Technology Development's NeoTech Incubator, was recently recognized as the second-fastest growing privately held company within the Baltimore region according to a special report from the Baltimore Business Journal. In 2007, Netrino's revenues were $1.13 million with a year-over-year increase of 840 percent.
