Two Sisters of Bon Secours commemorate their jubilees this year.

Sister Francis Helen Lewandowski celebrates 75 years with the Sisters of Bon Secours, and celebrated her 100th birthday Feb. 28. Sister Lewandowski attended St. Agnes School of Nursing before entering the Sisters of Bon Secours.

Sister Mary Magdalen Condry celebrates 60 years with the Sisters of Bon Secours. She attended the Bon Secours School of Nursing and graduated as an R.N. in 1963. She attends the local senior center and is known for her spirit and sense of humor.

The Sisters celebrated with a special Mass, where they renewed their vows, followed by a luncheon for the Sisters and their families.

Robert Topper, a resident of Sykesville, and vice president of corporate banking for M&T Bank, has been elected president of the board of The Arc of Howard County.

Other officers are Ellicott City resident Douglas Erdman, vice-president; Highland resident Phil Swanson, secretary; and Derward Brooks, treasurer; Joseph V. Murray Sr., is past president.

Members reelected to the Board of Directors include Vince Grauso, Chip McAuliffe, Lori Powell, Robert Smith and Robert Vigorito. Jane Chambers and Suzanne Henig were elected to their first terms on the board.

The Arc of Howard County was started by a group of parents in 1961 as an advocacy and support group. From its grassroots beginnings, it has grown to become one of Howard County's largest employers.

Dr. Alicia M. Cartagena has joined the department of radiology at Mercy Medical Center, Dr. Brad M. Cogan announced. Dr. Cartagena, a Howard County reisdent, is certified by the American Board of Radiology.

Attorney Tony Salazar has joined the Howard County law firm of Davis, Agnor, Rapaport & Skalny. He will practice primarily in the banking and financial institutions and business and transactional practice groups.
