The Burtonsville Dutch Country Farmers Market closed its Route 29 location July 4. The market is scheduled to reopen in its Laurel location, 9701 Fort Meade Road (Route 198 near the Home Depot), in August or September.

According to manager Sam Beiler, the Laurel location with have close to 2,2000 square feet, an expansion that nearly doubles the size of the Burtonsville market.

“We will have the same number of vendors, but more seating, more refrigeration areas; a bigger store all around,” Beiler said.
