Roadside Party -- Liberty Tax Service, 8850 Gorman Road, will hold a roadside party Saturday, Feb. 6, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., to benefit the relief efforts of Stop Hunger Now, a nonprofit international relief organization co-founded by Liberty founder John Hewitt. Party includes a cookout in front of the store with hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill, and entertainment for the kids such as face painting and balloons, videos and coloring books and crayons.

Donations of bottled water and non-perishable food items can be dropped off during the party. Monetary donations to Stop Hunger Now will be accepted at the event, or can be made at Liberty Tax's Web site www.libertytax.com.

Breakfast benefit -- To support the House of David Medical Center in Haiti, which is helping serve victims of the earthquake, Saturday, Feb. 13, 8:30-10:30 a.m. at Applebee's, 7242 Baltimore Ave. in College Park. Donations are $12 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Reservations only; must purchase tickets in advance. Call Martine, 301-801-9828.

Burlington Coat Factory of Laurel -- Laurel Mall, 14700 Baltimore Ave., will collect monetary donations to support the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund through Feb. 17.

Remington's of Laurel -- 3340 Fort Meade Road, music benefit, Sunday, Feb. 21. Live music starting at 2 p.m. with a variety of local bands participating. Donation of $5 at the door goes to American Red Cross; donations of food and clothes also accepted. 301-490-7000.
