DocPoint Solutions, a Fulton-based technology provider, has announced that it is partnering with Auburn Hills, a Michigan-based software maker to jointly provide companies and government agencies in the Washington-Baltimore region with hands-on support for the Microsoft SharePoint software platform.
Ajaib and Hema Sidhu, of Columbia and consultants for Nikken, a direct-sales wellness company, have been awarded the company's Wellness Home Certification.
Larry Collins, of Columbia, has been appointed by the Massachusetts of Technology Enterprise Forum as executive director of the Howard Technology Council to its Washington-Baltimore Board of Advisors. Collins will provide guidance and resources to support the forum. He will also provide opportunities for networking, growing and building high technology companies in the area, as well as serve as a forum panelist for case presentations.
The Arc of Howard County recently presented awards to the following individuals and groups that have provided innovative programs and opportunities for people with cognitive and developmental disabilities in typical settings: Chuck Spalding, a coach at Long Reach High School, Celebration of Excellence Award for 2008; Miguel Albornoz, Centennial High School graduate, Celebration of Excellence Award for 2008; Marie Adams, nurse at the Developmental Disabilities Administration, Celebration of Excellence Award for 2008, and Robert Bussard and David Gold, self advocates who were recognized for their success in living a full community life. The Office of Human Resources of the Howard County Board of Education, Grace Episcopal Church; the third grade team at Elkridge Elementary School and the Savage Volunteer Fire Company were also honored.
Toral Dalal, of Columbia, has joined Gateway Financial, in Baltimore, as a financial services representative. Dalal is licensed to sell insurance and securities products in Maryland.
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, in Columbia, and the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Care Foundation were recently honored by the American Heart Association as a Heart and Stroke National Champion. The award is presented to the American Heart Association's top supporting companies in recognition of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage's support and participation in the American Heart Association's annual Heart Walks.
