We've always known, and now Money magazine is telling everyone, that Ellicott City is one of the best places to live. Along with our sister city, Columbia, we are ranked No. 8 in the magazine's annual list of the "100 best places to live in America."

Categories included factors such as housing, education and quality of life, as well as crediting our "charm, comfort and careful zoning." Ellicott City was noted for its historic district lined with antique shops and teahouses and Columbia for its design of residential villages around the town center and abundance of open space.

How long has it been since you graduated from high school? The Howard High School Class of 1958 is holding its reunion Oct. 4 at the Holiday Inn-Columbia. Thanks to the efforts of the following reunion committee members everyone will have a great time at their fifty year celebration: Charlotte Porter Shrewsbury, Betty Young Ramey, Janet Cook Goodman, Paul Miller, John Goodman, Larry Corum, and Millie and Reed Zimmer.

If you are an alumni and haven't received your notice of the event e-mail hchsclassof58@comcast.net or call 410-465-8343 for more information.
