By now, the good-hearted students at Bond Mill Elementary School have given Santa Claus back his cap. The students passed around Santa's cap grade-by-grade and collected candy, erasers, pencils, glue sticks, paper, crayons and other school supplies to donate to students in need at a local elementary school.

Guidance counselor Freda Ingram and her G.O.L.D. Committee, made up of sixth-graders Kimberly Brackett, Alfredo Ilinas Percy, Danielle Berard, Danielle Dixon, Kayla Smith Bradley, Cher Panlilio and Victoria Ridgeway, coordinated this wonderful event. The G.O.L.D. Committee did an awesome job and the enthusiastic, generous students filled Santa's cap with the holiday spirit.

I hope everyone is having a lovely holiday filled with family and friends. I wish you a healthy, prosperous and hopeful new year of 2009. Happy new year!
