Alex and Christina Ramirez opened their Avondale Street home to Sabrina Soto, host of HGTV's "Get it Sold" show, and a production crew, who were there to tape a segment for the show.
The Ramirezes, who bought their historic district home in December, will be included in an episode that focuses on another Laurel couple, who are trying to sell their home. The show is a 13-part reality program that features homeowners who, for various reasons, have to sell their homes in today’s tough real estate market. Those featured get advice and are shown homes near their property that are listed or have sold recently, like the Ramirez’s.
Christina Ramirez, a former teacher and now a stay-at-home mom, advised the anonymous Laurel couple that will be featured on the show to “get rid of all of the clutter in your home and depersonalize it. When we sold our old home in Frederick to move here, we took all of our family pictures down when it was being shown.”
