The son of Steve and Charlene Pidliskey, Stephen began his Scouting career as a Tiger Cub with Cub Scout Pack 62 at Hammond Elementary School. He earned Cub Scouting's highest award, the Arrow of Light, and then joined Boy Scout Troop 602 in 2004. As a Boy Scout, Stephen attended summer camp at Bashore Scout Reservation in Pennsylvania and participated in high-adventure trips to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and Claytor Lake Aquatics Base in southern Virginia.
For his Eagle project, Stephen led a group of Scouts who built and replaced 18 bluebird nesting boxes and predator guards at the Howard County Conservancy, a non-profit environmental land trust and education center in Woodstock.
Stephen is a junior at Reservoir High School where he is president of DECA, a national student organization for individuals preparing for marketing, management and entrepreneurship careers. He has participated in junior varsity football and is a second degree black belt in Tang Soo Do karate. He also built and maintains his troop's Web site.
