Sung Min Kim, of Laurel, was named to the dean's list for the 2009 summer semester at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass.

Kate Ahlquist, of Laurel, was inducted into the Gamma Chapter of the Lambda Alpha National Collegiate Honors Society for Anthropology at Washington College in Chestertown. She will graduate this spring with a degree in anthropology and plans to continue her studies at the University of Maryland.
