(Enlarge) Steve Beasley, who lives on Sherwood Avenue in West Laurel, took this shot showing his street's status on Monday, Feb. 15 -- 10 days after the first snow fall. Beasley said that the path down the street was dug out by residents who used snow shovels and snow blowers as they waited for the county plows. Sunday night, Beasley said, crews brought a front-end loader to start clearing massive piles of snow on the loop driveway around Bond Mill Elementary, which sits at the end of Sherwood Avenue, but the street is still not clear.

Snow storms bring lots of scenes to our neighborhoods, and a growing number of people keep a digital camera as close as their snow shovel and sled. And when Laurel gets smothered with one of the deepest snows anyone can remember, photos help capture the scenes of what could become "The storm of 2010."

Former City Councilman Rick Wilson, who lives in Old Town, has posted plenty of photos of his neigbhorhood, including Main Street and Route 1, on his blog Laurel Connections, http://conexshuns.blogspot.com/2010/02/snow-stories.html
