Zepp Plaza, on Route 108, holds a secret. Do you know what it is? Zepp Plumbing and Heating is still there and has been for some time. It's tucked away in the back of the building. You can no longer see them from the highway, but the service is still the same quality.
If you'd like to know more about Zepp Plaza, Eddie Zepp tells me the two-story structure houses 21,000 square feet of commercial space. There is room for four offices upstairs. On the ground floor, there is room for three more businesses.
Clarksville Nail and Spa was the first shop to open in Zepp Plaza. Owner Chikhoa Nguyen hails from Vietnam, but has been in this country 15 years. He likes this area. He notes that everything is new and clean in his shop and most importantly, his girls, Cindy and Lisa, try to make you happy so you will want to come back again and again.
Cindy and Lisa are indeed friendly and helpful. They work Tuesday through Sunday. Services include nails, of course, both manicures and pedicures, waxing and massage (Swedish and hot stone). Drop-ins are welcome.
Bargain hunters and other hungry residents will be heading to Triadelphia Seventh-day Adventist Church at 12950 Brighton Dam Road Sunday, April 27. The rain or shine event includes a flea market from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. There will also be a silent auction.
One item in the auction is five nights at Disney's Old Key West, a $685 value. Come see what other exciting treasures you might find. While you're there enjoy an all-you-can-eat breakfast of juice, fruit, pancakes and toppings, hash browns, hot drinks and more.
You'll be able to choose scrambled eggs or scrambled tofu. What? You've never tried scrambled tofu? Well, here's your opportunity. Breakfast will be served only from 9-11 a.m. The cost is just $3 for seniors 65+ and children 4-12. It's $4 for all other ages.

Do you have a no-longer-used bicycle taking up space at you house? You can bring it to Linden-Linthicum United Methodist Church May 3. The bikes will be sent to Third World countries to be used as transportation to school or work. A $20 donation to cover shipping would be appreciated. For details, call the church office at 410-531-5653.
The River Hill High School music department took its spring trip to Orlando, Fla., recently. It was a long bus ride, but the weather was good when they got there and they were able to compete against some very talented musicians. Now, who do you think came home instrumental grand champions? Of course, it was River Hill. To become grand champion requires having the highest combined scores of two instrumental groups. In this case, orchestra and jazz ensemble.
The jazz ensemble took first place (superior rating), jazz combo first place (superior rating) plus Outstanding Soloist Vanessa Collier on saxaphone, Outstanding Woodwind Section and Outstanding Brass Section.
Members of the orchestra were not to be outdone. Thes string ensemble took first place (excellent rating), Best Overall Orchestra first place (superior rating), Outstanding Soloist David Duan on cello and the judges awarded Outstanding String Section to the entire orchestra.
The concert choir took first place (superior rating), Madrigals first place (superior rating) and Best Overall Chamber/Madrigal Group. The Wind Ensemble took second place (superior rating) for band. Congratulations are due all these hard-working and talented musicians. Keep up the good work.
