The Maryland State Board of Public Works recently awarded a $50,000 grant to Howard County's Department of Recreation and Parks to fund a feasibility grant to determine aquatic needs in the county. The study will look at current facilities, determine if additional facilities are needed, suggest possible locations for new facilities, and provide options for financing the building and operation of an aquatic facility in the county.
