Jennifer Cascio, of Ellicott City, was awarded the Foreign Language Book Prize in French at the annual St. Mary's College of Maryland Awards Convocation. The award is given to a student with outstanding achievement in the discipline. Cascio is a senior majoring in French and human studies.
Joshua Barnett and Stephanie Isberg, both of Ellicott City, graduated summa cum laude from St. Mary's College of Maryland on May 10 and were elected to the Zeta chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society due to their scholastic achievement and contributions to campus activities. Barnett, who majored in English and music, was awarded the Mattie M. Key Award in Music. Isberg majored in international languages and cultures and English.
Christine Sansone, of Ellicott City, has been elected to the Delta of Maryland chapter of Phi Beta Kappa at McDaniel College, in Westminster.
Timothy Phelps, of Sykesville, has graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science.
Alex Strawitch, of Ellicott City, has earned an associate degree in culinary arts from the Culinary Institute of America. Strawitch is a graduate of Centennial High School.
Scott Shores, of Ellicott City, has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at the School of Public Health at the University of Maryland. Shores graduated from the school on May 23, with a Bachelor of Science, in kinesiology.
