Ross Crosby, of Columbia and son of Robert and Lisa Crosby, has been accepted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the national business honor society, at Salisbury University. Crosby, a junior majoring in accounting and finance, is also on the dean's list and a member of Phi Eta Sigma, the national freshman honor society, and Pi Gamma Mu, the national social sciences honor society. He is a 2005 graduate of Wilde Lake High School.

Victoria Brown, of Columbia, has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Coastal Carolina University.

Jordan Starck, of Columbia and son of Tuajuanda Jordan, has received the John Montgomery Belk Merit Scholarship as an incoming student at Davidson College. Starck is a graduate of the Bullis School.

Rachael Smith, of Columbia and daughter of Douglas and Christina Smith, and a elementary education major, has been inducted into Scroll and Key, a scholastic honorary for senior students, at Grove City College in Grove City, Pa. Smith, who also was named to the dean's list for the spring semester, is a 2004 graduate of Hammond High School.

The following Columbia residents have been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Hood College in Frederick: Dana Davenport, Jennifer Hood, Kimberly Kinnett, Zach Stein and Amy VanSant.

Fallon Carter, of Columbia and daughter of Faenita Dilworth, graduated from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Ga., on May 19 with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in political science. Carter, a 2004 graduate of Howard High School, plans to continue her education at the George Washington University Law School.

James Rebholz, of Columbia, graduated from Oregon State University on June 15 with a Master of Science in wildlife science.

Susan Prentice, of Columbia, has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

Robert Grimm III, of Columbia, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Grimm Jr. and a theater major, has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa. Grimm is a graduate of Atholton High School.

Ariel Cohen, of Columbia, son of Dr. Sanford Cohen and Dr. Jacalyn Ely, and a neuroscience and French major, has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa. Cohen is a graduate of Atholton High School.

Christina King and Regina Marlow, both of Columbia, have been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Radford University in Radford, Va.

Kasie von Breisen, of Columbia, has been named to the dean's list at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, W.Va.
