Cadet Brian McGettigan, of Columbia and son of James Pikul and April McGettigan, graduated from Virginia Military Institute on May 16 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and minors in science and security, and international studies. McGettigan, a graduate of Howard High School, was a member of the boxing club and was named to the dean's list while he was a student at the institute.
