The following is compiled from police reports. The Howard County Times includes descriptions of perpetrators only when the description makes identification possible.

Elkridge/Jessup

Fallston Road, 6500 block, 3:10 p.m. July 27. Attempt made to gain entry to residence by kicking in the front door. Man arrested.

Levering Avenue, 5500 block, between 6:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. July 26. Entry gained to residence through an unsecured rear door. Items in bedroom removed.

Old Waterloo Road, 6600 block, 5:58 a.m. July 27. Window to Frank's Produce broken. Interior ransacked.

Dorsey Road, 6800 block, 1:52 p.m. July 23. A 1996 Ford stolen.

Montgomery Road, 7000 block, 11:34 p.m. July 22. Officer observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Elkridge Elementary School that appeared to contain construction materials taken from school grounds. The officer then observed a man inside the school pushing a cart full of items. Man arrested.

Washington Boulevard, 7500 block, 6:43 p.m. July 22. Man approached person's vehicle on foot, demanded cash, assaulted the person and attempted to take cash, keys and a cell phone. The person started the car and drove away.

Ellicott City

Main Street, 8300 block, 7:15 p.m. July 26. Window to business broken.

Norberts Way, 3300 block, 10:47 a.m. July 26. Entry gained to a concession stand at Kiwanis Wallace Park by prying open the door. Safe containing cash stolen.

Centennial Woods Lane, 10200 block, 2:09 a.m. July 25. Three males entered a home and confronted five teenage boys. The males pulled guns and one demanded wallets and cell phones. One of the males assaulted one of the boys.

Woodville Lane, 3800 block, 5:44 a.m. July 24. Entry gained to residence, no further information.

Little Brick House, 10200 block, 8 a.m. July 23. Entry gained to detached garage. Two electric scooters stolen. A third scooter was damaged and left in the street.

Breezewood Drive, 10600 block, between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. July 23. Entry gained to residence by breaking glass in an exterior door. CDs and television stolen.

Baltimore National Pike, 8400 block, 8:39 a.m. July 21. Entry gained to Ritz Camera by cutting a hole in the wall from the business next door. Cash and camera equipment reported stolen.

Savage/North Laurel

Evening Bird Lane, 9700 block, between July 20 and July 25. Gray 2005 GMC Envoy stolen.

Ice Crystal Drive, 8300 block, 5:05 a.m. July 26. Entry gained to Round About Fine Wine by unknown means. Alarm activated. A witness observed a male fleeing. Nothing reported stolen.

Quarry Bridge, 9500 block, 2:56 p.m. July 26. Person advertised a laptop computer for sale online and met with a potential buyer. The potential buyer pepper sprayed the seller and ran away with the laptop. The seller chased the potential buyer and retrieved the laptop computer.

Washington Boulevard, 8800 block, 2:23 p.m. July 24. Chevrolet Impala stolen.

Washington Street, 9000 block, 6:26 p.m. July 24. Video game and loose change were stolen.

Winterbrook Lane, 10100 block, between 5 p.m. July 23 and 10 a.m. July 24. Entry gained to a vacant property by breaking a rear sliding glass door. Nothing reported stolen.

Savage Guilford Road, 8400 block, between 9:30 p.m. July 22 and 7:45 a.m. July 23. Attempt made to force open the door at Lil Salon. No entry gained.

Guilford Road, 9900 block, between 4 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. July 21. A 2008 Toyota Corolla stolen.

Thamesmeade Way, 17500 block, between 2:30 p.m. July 19 and 2:53 p.m. July 21. Entry gained through rear window. Computer and guitar amp reported stolen.

Autumn Way, 8300 block, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. July 21. Entry gained to residence through unsecured door. Electronics stolen.

Conowingo Avenue, 7700 block, 1:30 a.m. June 27. Male approached person in a parking lot, implied a weapon and attempted to rob the person. Person punched male in the face and the male fled on foot.

West County

Old Frederick Road, 17500 block, between 5 p.m. July 10 and 3 p.m. July 12. Dirt bike stolen from shed.

Please don't all believe items reported by the Howard County police. The facts are many times erroneous and/or embellished reports made to look like the police are actually doing something. Look at the small time crimes they respond to. If they think they are so bad a**, let them help clean up crime in Balto city. Ha! I'm afraid there would be a bunch of scared little babies downtown!
