Automotive Technology Summer Camp> For students entering Grades 10 and 11 in the fall, this camp is geared toward students who are interested in learning more about careers in automotive technology. The topics and activities will be based on: safety and tools, introduction to automotive technology, tire maintenance, engine performance and brake systems. The camp will be held June 29-July 2 from 8 a.m. to noon at the ARL building, 10920 Route 108. The cost is $75. Registration forms are online at www2.hcpss.org/cte.

Child-Fest 2009> The Children's Cancer Foundation Inc. will hold Child-Fest 2009 Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Reservoir High School, 12101 Route 108 in Clarksville. Have family fun while helping raise money to locally fight childhood cancers. Admission is free. S.P.I.C.E. Camp> University of Maryland Women in Engineering Program and the Center for Minorities in Science and Engineering at the University of Maryland host the S.P.I.C.E. Camp, a program open to young women currently in the eighth or ninth grade, and the goal is to expose them to engineering through projects, tours and guest speakers. Program runs June 29-July 2 on the University of Maryland and the cost is $295. For more information, call 301 405-8106.
