Adam Binaut, son of Tom and Donna Binaut of Ellicott City, graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Law May 10.
Aaron Varghese, of Ellicott City, received a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
Gregory Cooke, son of David and Susan Cooke of Ellicott City, graduated from Saint John's University on May 10.
Alexander A. Tong, of Ellicott City, was named to the Rhodes College Honor Roll for the 2009 spring semester at the Memphis, Tenn. school.
Samantha L. Ferraro, from Marriotts Ridge High School, is a 2009 recipient of the Aronson Memorial Award sponsored by the professional staff of Howard County General Hospital. Recipients receive a $2,000 scholarship and were chosen for maintaining the highest grade point average while participating in at least two varsity sports.
The award is dedicated to the late Dr. Barry Aronson, a fellow member of the professional staff who was an enthusiastic supporter and coach of school athletics. Each year, one graduating male and one graduating female are chosen to receive the award.
Ricky Allan Mason, of Ellicott City, received an undergraduate degree on May 17 from Manhattan College in Riverdale, N.Y.
Danielle DeLatte, of Ellicott City, a Aeronautical/Astronautical Engineering major at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was recently selected to join the Bernard M. Gordon-MIT Engineering Leadership Program's Class of 2011. The program is a new educational initiative at MIT that combines leadership development with the rigor of the MIT educational experience.
One of only 22 MIT School of Engineering undergraduate students invited to become a 'Gordon Engineering Leader', DeLatte, who was a Gold Honor Roll student at Centennial High School, will develop her engineering leadership skills in the program.
