Prince George's County Public Schools Superintendent William Hite announced his new Deputy Superintendent, Bonita Coleman-Porter, at his monthly press briefing July 1. Coleman-Porter comes to the county from Jackson, Miss., where she served in the same capacity for the Jackson school district.

At the briefing, Hite previewed the second phase of the county's boundary review, which will begin later this year. Phase one was completed in April. The second phase will cover about 130 schools.
