Gov. Martin O'Malley appointed Kevin L. Jackson, of Edgewater, to the Anne Arundel County Board of Education July 6.

Jackson has leadership and management experience within the military and defense community, and currently serves as the manpower, training and education project manager at the Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy.
