The Greenberg Train and Toy Show showcases hundreds of tables of model and toy trains and collectibles.

All sorts of model railroad materials can be seen at the Greenberg Train and Toy Show, happening Saturday-Sunday, Aug. 2-3, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at the Maryland State Fairgrounds, in Timonium. Greenberg Shows is the nation's top promoter of train and toy shows, and will showcase some 200 to 500 tables of model and toy trains and collectibles at this event. There will also be functional model railroads, free seminars and workshops, activities for children. Admission is $7 general (free for children 11 and younger) and good for both days. Celebration of nations

The many different cultures of Baltimore will be represented at the Baltimore International Festival, Saturday-Sunday, Aug. 2-3, noon-9 p.m., in the Poly/Western High School parking lot (located at Falls Road and West Cold Spring Lane). Billed as a "celebration of Baltimore's cultural diversity," this family-oriented event will showcase an international sport, cuisine and music. Admission is free. Call 410-396-3141.

Sunset jazz

Top of the World Observation Level will open its annual Saturday Sunsets at the Top jazz series with a performance by the group Urban Chic Saturday, Aug. 2, 8-10 p.m., at 401 E. Pratt St., on the 27th floor of Baltimore's World Trade Center. Urban Chic blends jazz, R&B and soul music and was founded by Larry Williams and has toured internationally. Admission is $10. Music at Boordy

Out in Hydes, Boordy vineyards will continue its Summer Evenings Concert Series with a performance by the Elvis tribute act Jesse Garron come Saturday, Aug. 2, 7 p.m. The outdoor evening, which runs from 6 to 9:30 p.m., will also include dance lessons with a professional instructor, food and wine. Crabs in Annapolis

You can eat some Maryland seafood while helping out local charities by attending the Rotary Club of Annapolis' Annual Crab Feast Friday, Aug. 1, 5-8 p.m., at the Navy-Marine Corps Stadium (304 Farragut Road). This event is considered one of the biggest crab feasts in the world and will offer some 438 bushels of crabs and 3,000 ears of corn. Fun with tugboats

The Baltimore Museum of Industry will hold a Tug Fest Saturday-Sunday, Aug. 2-3, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at the museum, located at 1415 Key Highway in the Inner Harbor South. The event will be held in conjunction with the Baltimore and Chesapeake Steamboat Company and will feature a tugboat parade, activities for kids and tours. Admission is free. Tour Frederick

The town of Frederick will host a First Saturday Gallery Walk Saturday, Aug. 2, 5-9 p.m., at Patrick and East streets in the town's Shab Row downtown section. This event, staged by the Downtown Frederick Partnership, will include exhibit openings, a dog contest, and live entertainment. Admission is free. Learn about art

The Smithsonian American Art Museum will host an Art a la Cart Day Sunday, Aug. 3, 1-4 p.m., at 8th and F streets NW, Washington, D.C. (above the Gallery Place Metro). Arts in Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania-based LancasterARTS will host an August First Friday celebration come Friday, Aug. 1, 5-8 p.m. The event will be marked by four new arts venues joining the First Friday lineup for the first time, including Art in the Alley, Gerhart Studios, the Ghostlight Theater Company and Kevin Lehman's Pottery.
