The Red Branch Theatre Company will hold auditions for its 2010 season this Saturday, Feb. 6, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., and Monday, Feb. 8, 7:30-10 p.m., at the Drama Learning Center, 9130-I Red Branch Road, Columbia.

The company is asking actors to prepare a dramatic or comic monologue 30 -60 seconds long, and 16-32 bars of a song. Actors should bring sheet music; accompaniment will be provided. The company is also seeking designers and stage managers.

The Columbia Center for Theatrical Arts is also hosting tryouts for teenage actors. Auditions will be held for "Ragtime, the Musical," and the Young Columbians troupe Monday Feb. 15, 1-4 p.m., at Toby's Dinner Theatre, 5900 Symphony Woods Road.

Columbia-based Silhouette Stages won approval as a non-profit entity in December, and is accepting donations. Money raised will go toward putting on shows and entertainment for the community. The board of directors is voluntary and contributions are used for sets, costumes, props and to pay for the rights for shows. For details, go to www.silhouettestages.com.

Cabaret rescheduled

Silhouette Stages has rescheduled its Cabaret Night due to last weekend's snow. The show will now be Saturday, Feb. 6, 8 p.m., in the Slayton House Theater in Wilde Lake. Local singers and actors will include area favorite Ric Ryder. Admission is $10 and includes food and drink at intermission.
