Three Columbia men were stabbed in an Anne Arundel County park Saturday night during what police said was an altercation that followed a soccer game.

Anne Arundel police responded at 10:24 p.m. to the Brooklyn Park Youth Athletic Association Park, in the 300 block of 10th Avenue in Brooklyn Park, for a reported stabbing, police said.

When they arrived, officers spoke with the three males from Columbia and several witnesses, who stated that a physical altercation had occurred between the Columbia residents and four men at the conclusion of a soccer game the men had been watching.

During the fight, the four men took out pocket knives and stabbed the Columbia residents, police said, and then fled on foot.

Two of the Columbia residents suffered lacerations to the legs and one suffered a laceration to the abdomen, police said. All three were taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with non-life-threatening injuries and have since been released, police said.

Several officers and a K-9 unit canvassed the Brooklyn Park area after the fight but did not find the suspects. Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact Anne Arundel police at 410-222-6135.
