The 91 graduates were recognized at a ceremony at The Jim Rouse Theatre for the Performing Arts, in Columbia.
Tai Sophia Institute, based in North Laurel, specializes in academic wellness programs, including acupuncture, herbal medicine and applied healing arts. The institute is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
At the June 8 ceremony, 57 students graduated from the acupuncture program, eight from the herbal medicine program and 26 from the applied healing arts program. Among the acupuncture program graduates was Jade Connelly-Duggan, daughter of Tai Sophia's co-founders, president Robert Duggan and chancellor Dianne Connelly.
