Two people were killed on Interstate 70 in Lisbon Tuesday night after the vintage 1929 car they were traveling in was struck from behind, according to Maryland State Police.
Richard Thomas Dashiell, of Bowie, and an unidentified juvenile female, were killed in the crash, police said.
The incident occurred around 6:34 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 70, just east of the intersection with Route 97. Dashiell was driving a 1929 Ford when he was struck from behind by a 2007 Dodge driven by Paul Davis, of Glen Burnie, police said.
The 1929 Ford overturned and ejected Dashiell and the girl, police said. Davis was able to pull safely onto the shoulder of the road and was not injured, police said.
Dashiell and the girl were taken to Howard County General Hospital where they were pronounced dead. No charges have been filed and police are continuing to investigate the incident.
