Posted 10/15/09
Howard County police are investigating a report of a rape they were told occurred in an Ellicott City home Thursday morning.
A 28-year-old woman told police she was raped in her home by a stranger after he knocked on her door on Thompson Drive about 10 a.m.
The woman reported that when she opened the door she saw a man with a gun wearing a dark ski mask, dark clothes and gloves. She described the man as 6-feet, with an average build but was unsure about his race.
The woman told police that the man entered her home and raped her, then left. The woman said she called her husband at work, who had a friend call police while he returned to the home.
The woman was taken to Howard County General Hospital, but suffered no serious physical injuries, police said. Nothing was reported stolen from the house.
Police are offering a reward up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information should call 410-313-3200.

Twenty first century criminals are in Howard County. Do not be too relaxed because you live in Western Howard County.

We are not too damned relaxed. Jealous of "western Howard County"? This crime was more central. Lisbon is "Western"! West Friendship - not cool. Unacceptable is the way we look at it, and the way it will be handled.
