The hearing will take place Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the school board headquarters at 10910 Route 108 in Ellicott City.
If necessary, additional public testimony will be heard on Dec. 1.
Ho.Co. 1-10 -- Zoning Ethics -- Bill would require business and land owners filing for zoning amendments to publicly disclose contributions of $500 or more to political candidates during a four-year period. Under this legislation, zoning amendment applicants would also have to disclose any current business with an elected official.
Ho.Co. 2-10 -- Water-Only Tax Credit -- Legislation would create a property tax credit for residents who receive public water services but not sewer services.
Ho.Co. 3-10 -- Alcoholic Beverages Act of 2010 -- Bill would allow a certain number of county restaurants to sell beer and wine for off-site consumption.
Ho.Co. 4-10 -- Auctioneer's Fees -- Raises county auctioneer's fee to $10 for each property sold during county tax sales.
Ho.Co. 5-10 -- Carroll Baldwin Hall -- Bill would direct $50,000 to Carroll Baldwin Memorial Institute Inc., for planning design, construction, repair, renovation and reconstruction of Carroll Baldwin Hall in Savage.
Ho.Co. 6-10 -- Living Farm Heritage Museum -- Bill would direct $35,000 in grant money toward planning, design, construction, repair, renovation and reconstruction of the Living Farm Heritage Museum in West Friendship.
Ho.Co. 7-10 -- Alcoholic Beverages -- Limits the number of Class A alcoholic beverage licenses to one per every 2,600 residents in a planning district.
Ho.Co. 8-10 -- Symphony Woods -- Bill would direct a $250,000 grant toward the Columbia Association to refurbish Symphony Woods.
Ho.Co. 9-10 -- Troy Hill Regional Park -- Bill would direct $500,000 in grant money to the county to design and construct Troy Hill Regional Park in Elkridge.
Ho.Co. 10-10 -- Alpha Ridge Park -- Bill would set aside $75,000 in grant money for design and construction of Alpha Ridge Park in Marriottsville.
Ho.Co. 11-10 -- Watson Telescope Observatory -- Bill would direct a $25,000 grant to Astronomical League of Central Maryland for planning, design and construction of the Watson Telescope Observatory, in Marriottsville.
Ho.Co. 12-10 -- Funding Accountability and Transparency Act -- Bill would require the Howard County Board of Education to create a Web site to track school system spending.
Ho.Co. 13-10 -- Property Tax Disclosure -- Bill would require a seller of residential real estate in Howard County to disclose estimated annual property tax in advertisements distributed in connection with the sale.
