Winners of the fourth annual Ellicott City Restoration Foundation photo contest were announced June 6, at a reception opening a one-month exhibit at the Howard County Historical Society Museum, in Ellicott City.

The contest was open to all amateur photographers, and prizes were awarded in three categories -- vintage, adult and junior. This year, the judges were Ken Losurdo, of Losurdo Photography; Natalie Harvey, a retired photojournalist; and Doug Bruns, of f64 Gallery. Cash prizes were awarded to all winners.

Adult

First Place -- Matthew Brown, of Ijamsville "Black and White B & O Railroad Station"

Second Place -- Robert Detweiler, of Akron, Ohio "A Walk in the Park"

Third Place -- Benjamin Skolnik, of Catonsville "Tiber River Tavern"

Junior

First Place -- Leah McLean, of Ellicott City "B & O Railroad"

Second Place -- Kristen McLean, of Ellicott City "Patapsco River Bridge Walkway"

Vintage

First Place -- George Goeller, of Ellicott City "Washington Trust Company"

Honorable mentions

Holly and Brendle Hoenes, of Ellicott City "Guarding the Gate"

Benjamin Skolnik, of Catonsville "Main Street at Night" "Main Street - Looking Up"
