Gerald Frank Lewis Trobridge, of West Friendship, died April 12, 2009, at St. Agnes Hospital, in Baltimore. He was 94.
He was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, on April 7, 1915, to Percy Lewis Trobridge and Lillian Frances Dorothy (Phelps) Trobridge. He was the husband of Marie Charlotte Hickey Trobridge, who preceded him in death.
He served in the British Army and the South African Army during World War II. He was a mechanical engineer.
Mr. Trobridge is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Gerald and Nadine Marie Trobridge, of Haymarket, Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Tracy Trobridge and William Edward Fiege, of West Friendship; and grandchildren.
A celebration of life gathering will be held April 25, 2009, at his home.
