Elizabeth M. McCann

Elizabeth Marie McCann, formerly of Woodbine, died June 6, 2009, at the Oak Crest Village, in Parkville. She was 97.

Born Sept. 7, 1911, in Baltimore, Mrs. McCann was the daughter of John Ambrose and Minnie Kathryn Schloeman Miller. She was the wife of John Howard McCann Sr., who preceded her in death.

Mrs. McCann had been a homemaker for most of her life. For many years she lived in Woodbine before moving to Towson for 30 years and then to Oak Crest Village in 1998.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Marie McCann.

She is survived by her sons, John Howard McCann Jr. and Dennis Michael McCann, both of Florida, and Timothy Allen McCann, of Taneytown; her daughter, Margaret McCann-Osborne, of Granite; and her brother, Robert E. Miller, of Westminster. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held June 10, 2009, at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, in Sykesville. Interment was at Lorraine Park Cemetery.
