Ann M. Dressel
Ann Marie (Schultz) Dressel, of Ellicott City, died June 10, 2009. She was 66.
She was born June 21,1942, to Lawrence and Marie Schultz Sr. and was the oldest of four children.
Mrs. Dressel was the wife of Michael Allan Dressel, her childhood sweetheart of more than 53 years.
"It was love at first sight," said Mr. Dressel. "We met when we were only 13 years old. Ann was a such a lovely young lady, so beautiful and sweet on the inside and out. She was the best wife and loving parent to our children."
Mrs. Dressel was a fixture at her son's restaurant, MD's Family Restaurant, in Glenelg, where she worked for the past 17 years. She was also an employee of the National Children's Center for more than 20 years.
She enjoyed hosting parties for family and friends, especially her and her husband's annual New Year's Eve bash.
Mrs. Dressel enjoyed taking cruises with her husband and their close friends and relatives, and watching "The Price is Right" and "Deal or No Deal" on television.
Her favorite vacation spot was Ocean City. She also enjoyed attending her class reunions. An alumna of Seton High School, from which she graduated with highest honors, she would have celebrated her 50th class reunion next year.
She and her husband were married for more than 45 years. Mr. Dressel stated that "she was my best friend and the love of my life. I have been so blessed to have shared my life with such a wonderful person. She was certainly a gift from heaven above."
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister-in-law, Charlene Dressel.
Mrs. Dressel is survived by her husband; and her children, Kathleen Marie Werner, Michael Allan Dressel Jr., Kristen Ann Fleck, Karen Michelle Dressel and their spouses, Christopher Werner and Charles Fleck; her grandchildren, Brennan and Keaton Werner, Miranda and Chase Dressel, and Grayson, Gavin, and Tylar Ann Fleck; her siblings, Lawrence Schultz Jr., Margaret Mary Bertulis, and Mary Jo England; she was also a sister-in-law to Michelle Schultz, John Bertulis, Stanley England III, David and Linda Dressel, Donna and Tom LeRoux.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Benedict Church. Interment was at Crest Lawn Cemetery.
