Helen Leins-Johnson

Helen "Lisa" Leins-Johnson, of Bethesda, and formerly of Ellicott City, died June 11, 2009, at her home. She was 82.

She was born in Tennessee on April 16, 1927. Mrs. Leins-Johnson was an executive assistant. She also did theater in the Washington, D.C. area, including acting at Arena Stage.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, J. Edward Leins and Arne Johnson; and a grandson, Peter Leins.

Mrs. Leins-Johnson is survived by her daughter, Helene Leinbach and her husband, Brian; her sons, Curtis Leins and his wife, Debbie, and Craig Leins and his wife, Karyn; her grandchildren, Kim Phillips, Ev Blacketor, Joshua Blacketor, Robert Leins, Christopher Leins, Casey Leins, Matthew Leins and Spencer Leins; her great-grandchildren, Lauren Nicole, Glen, Brendan, Everly, Austin, Hannah, Rachael, Micah and Emeline.

A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, June 18, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church, 2875 Bethany Lane, Ellicott City, with the Rev. David Simpson officiating.

Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery with a graveside service July 28, 2009, at 1 p.m.
