Norma Kathleen Fields, of Columbia, died June 27, 2009, at Maple Hill Assisted Living. She was 89.

Born in Sydney, Australia, April 29, 1920, Mrs. Fields graduated from high school in Sydney and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, working in the yard and traveling in the United States, Australia and Europe.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Hampson Fields.

Mrs. Fields is survived by her daughter, Gay Bohn, of Columbia; her sons, Hamp Fields Jr., of Columbia, and Gary Fields, of Columbia; two granddaughters, Megan Fields and Jaime Fields, of Columbia; two grandsons, Hamp Fields III and Duke Fields, of Columbia; her daughters-in-law, Dianne Fields and Missy Fields, of Columbia; and her son-in-law, Jeff Bohn, of Columbia.

A funeral service and interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, in Arlington, Va., on July 29, 2009, at 10 a.m.
