Dorothy M. Chambers

Dorothy Marie Chambers, of Baltimore, formerly of Ellicott City, died June 3, 2008, of cancer, at a family residence. She was 71.

She was born June 22, 1936, in Baltimore, to Wilbur Nelson and Esther Leona Green Wiles.

She was married to Joseph Chambers.

Mrs. Chambers worked as a line worker at Maryland Cup Corp. in Baltimore for at least 35 years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Wilbur Nelson and Esther Leona Green Wiles; four sisters, Beatrice Miller, Janet Johns, Sylvia Johns and Mary Helen Butler; and five brothers, Herbert Wiles, Merle Wiles, Edward Wiles, Allen Wiles and Kenneth Wiles.

Mrs. Chambers is survived by a son, Ronald N. Chambers, of Howard County; two sisters, Elva McCauley, and Patricia Miser, both of Ellicott City; three brothers, Roy Wiles, of Eastern Shore, Russell Wiles, of Vanworth, Ohio, and Leonard Wiles, of Florida; six step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held June 6, 2008, at Slack Funeral Home in Ellicott City. The Rev. Michael Barnes officiated.

Interment followed at Lakeview Memorial Park, in Sykesville.
