Born Sept. 5, 1926, in Oella, to William Joseph and Virgie L. Derflinger Kelley, she attended Catonsville Senior High School until the early 1940s.
She married Howard Robert "Bobby" Barth in 1942.
Mrs. Barth worked as a cafeteria manager for the Howard County School System for at least 20 years. She retired in the mid-1980s.
She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Ellicott City for 72 years. During that time, she volunteered at a women's prison in Jessup, where she played Bingo with the inmates and held prayer services and conducted devotionals. She also helped with many other church projects.
In addition, she volunteered for the American Cancer Society during its Daffodil Days. Mrs. Barth also walked in the Howard County Relay for Life cancer fundraiser for five years.
Mrs. Barth was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Howard Robert "Bobby" Barth, who died in 1990; and two brothers, Joseph Kelley and Raymond "Bubby" Kelley.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Badger, of Camden, Del., and Beverly Barth, of Dares Beach; two sons, Thomas Barth and Franklin Barth, both of Ellicott City; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 12, 2008, at Bethany United Methodist Church in Ellicott City. The Rev. David Simpson officiated.
Interment followed at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville.
