Special thanks to the Columbia Flier and Andrei Blakely for last week's article on the grocery store in the village of Hickory Ridge, "HR."

After reading the article I was both grateful and sad. I was appreciative of the update about what's happening in my community, but I was saddened by the confirmation that "My Gee" is truly gone. If My Gee were still here he would have known that the residents of HR need SBks coffee, just like they have in both SF in Harpers, and HT in Kings.

As a 30-year resident of HR, I have been depressed by the loss of my old friend My Gee. Maybe now with this validation I can "move on."

My Gee is there in name only, but gone in spirit ... or is he?
