Tennis

Basketball

Elite Athletics is holding a Spring Break Basketball Camp April 6-10 at Long Reach High School. The camp is for ages 7-15. Call 443-453-4933.

The High Flyer Basketball School will hold camp sessions at Centennial High School June 22-26, June 29-July 3 and July 6-10. The sessions run weekdays from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Discounts are available. Call 410-461-7556.

Baseball

Registration is underway for the Elkridge Youth Organization's Cal Ripken tee-ball program. T-ball is for players ages 4 and 5. Registration is open until March 30 or until the league becomes full. Softball

The HCYP Patriots U-16 Red and U-16 Blue each need two players. These are fastpitch tournament teams that play mid-May through mid-July. E-mail mnvdrum@comcast.net.

Team registration is being accepted for the Memorial weekend Softball Frenzy scheduled for May 22-25 in Pikesville. The tournament features B-level fastpitch competition for ages 10 through 18. Call 410-363-8610.

Savage Boys & Girls Club

The Savage Boys & Girls Club will hold a town hall meeting March 30 at 7 p.m. at Baldwin Hall in Savage. The purpose of the meeting is to fill several board vacancies, including president, vice-president and treasurer as well as two other board positions.

Soccer

SAC's Classic U-18 girls travel team is looking for one or two additional field players for spring WAGS play. Call 410-997-4019.

Team registration is being accepted for the Old Line State Classic soccer tournament, which will be held April 25-26 in the eastern Baltimore and Harford County area. The tournament is open to teams (boys and girls) in the U-8 through U-18 age groups. Go to www.cmsasoccer.com or call 410-363-8610.

Lacrosse

Howard High will be hosting the eighth annual Karl Wolf Memorial Lacrosse Tournament April 3-4. Girls teams participating will be Howard, Leonardtown, Bel Air and Marriotts Ridge; the boys teams will be Howard, Del-Mar, Long Reach and Liberty. The boys start the tournament April 3 at 7 p.m. The first girls' game is April 4 at 10 a.m.; the boys play again at noon. All day passes are $8 (adults); $6 (students). Baltimore area tryouts for the Under Armour All-America Classic Underclassman tournament have been announced. The boys' tryouts will be held May 28-29, 5-8 p.m. at St. Paul's; the girls' tryouts will be held June 8-9, 5-8 p.m. at Notre Dame Prep. Boys and girls entering 10th-, 11th- or 12th-grades are eligible to tryout. Register at www.underarmourlacrosse.com.

The Maryland High School Lacrosse Showdown will be held April 13 at Johns Hopkins University's Homewood Field. The event pairs the top public and private school teams in the area in boys and girls competition. This year's boys' match-ups are Gonzaga vs. St. Paul's and Urbana vs. DeMatha; the girls' competition is Century vs. Roland Park and Winters Mill vs. McDonogh. The competition begins at 10 a.m. Tickets ($6) are good for the entire day. Proceeds from the event go to benefit the Aikens' Children Trust Fund. Call 410-363-8610.

HCYP

April 15 is the entry deadline for HCYP's Christopher Kelley Scholarship, which is awarded to a student who has participated in any HCYP sports program. Information is available in high school guidance offices.

Aquatics

The Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks is accepting applications for pool manager, assistant pool manager, swim lesson coordinator, water safety instructor, assistant swim instructor, swim team coach, swim team assistant coach, head lifeguard, lifeguard and pool monitor. Football and cheer

The Ellicott City Patriots football/cheer teams are in search of coaches, assistant coaches and team administrators. The cheerleading program is looking for coaches who have dance, cheer or gymnastic experience.

Track and field

The rec department is registering for the Hershey Track and Field Meet, which will take place May 3 from 1-5 p.m. at Long Reach High School. The meet is for boys and girls ages 9-14 and includes track events, the standing long jump and a softball throw. Participants may participate in three events. Fee: $5 pre-registration ($7 on site). Ice hockey

Baltimore Youth Hockey offers numerous spring hockey clinics, starting March 28, for boys and girls from 10-U to16-U.

Boys and girls ages 5-12 who wish to try ice hockey for the first time are invited to Let's Play Hockey Day, May 8 from 6:30-7:45 p.m. and May 9 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Reisterstown Sportsplex. Reserve a spot at byhstars@aol.com. BYH will loan equipment, skates and a stick.
