Three Laurel teams that won their meets in Prince-Mont Swim League June 27 are also undefeated after two weeks of meets this summer.
F Division Laurel City was leading Accokeek June 20 when the first-week meet was suspended because of weather. The meet wasn't continued and Laurel claimed the win, 172-136. Laurel remained undefeated in the second week when it led Prince George's Pool, 300.5-249.5, on June 27.
When relay wins were included, Laurel had four quadruple winners, three triple winners and two double winners against PGP.
The quadruple winners were Eanna Keys (10-U fly, 9-10 free and back, girls free relay); Jenna Fenicle (15-18 fly and free, IM, girls freestyle relay); Phillip LaClair (boys medley relay, 15-18 breast and back, boys free relay); and Matt Whelan (10-U fly, 9-10 free and back, boys free relay).
Triple winners were Scott Tyree (boys medley relay, 15-18 fly and IM; James Krehbiel (13-14 free and IM, boys free relay); and Michael Thomas (8-U breast, back, free relay). Laurel's double winners were Cameron Bouie (8-U back and free relay); and Michael Applegate (8-U free and free relay).
The C Division West Arundel Aqua Ducks remained undefeated and advanced to 2-0 in the league when they beat host Northridge Neptunes, 321-253, June 27. West Arundel's 9-10 boys and girls and 13-14 girls swept all of their events in the win.
Triple winners included Jay Venit (9-10 free, breast, back); Kellianne Venit (13-14 free, breast, IM); and Andria Moyer (15-18 fly, free, IM).
The team had seven double winners: Micah Norsworthy (8-U free, back); Alyssa Webb (9-10 fly, back); Colette Pierce (9-10 free, breast); Andrea Sturgis (11-12 fly, free); Ryan Webb (11-12 fly, IM); Hunter Tessier (13-14 fly, back); and Danielle Villeneuve (13-14 fly, back).
In D Division, the Russett Sharks defeated its visitors, Smallwood Village Marlins, after Russett pulled ahead from a tie and swept the relays to win by 11 points. 291.5-280.5. The Sharks had 15 individual swimmers with at least one first-place finish, which helped build points in the win. Triple winners for the Sharks were Allie Ritter (8-U free, breast, back), Everett Butler (11-12 fly, free, back) and Taylor Hicks (13-14 fly, breast, IM), and double winners were Paris Hicks (11-12 free, breast) and Michaela Guild (15-18 breast, IM).
Division A West Laurel Wahoos lost at Takoma Park, 352-220, and are now 0-2 in the league. There were no double or triple winners from the Wahoos.
Silver Spring Swim Team squeezed by Division B Montpelier, 288-272, leaving Montpelier 0-2 after two weeks of league competition. Triple winners for Montpelier were Joe Mills (15-18 fly and back, IM), Nick Mills (13-14 fly and breast, IM) and Dylan Buehler (11-12 fly, free, back). Suzannah Mills was the only double winner, finishing first in 11-12 free and IM.
