Pallotti graduate Travis Stewart, a former pitcher for the Panthers, has been rehabbing his right arm this summer during throwing sessions at Arundel High.

Stewart was a redshirt this past spring at the College of Charleston, a Division I program in South Carolina. Stewart said he hopes to be ready for fall workouts at the school in a few weeks.

He helped Pallotti to the MIAA title twice during his prep career. He had shoulder surgery June 10, 2008 under the care of the famed Dr. James Andrews, who operated the same day on John Smoltz of the Boston Red Sox.

Stewart was 9-2 in 2008 for Northwest Shoals, one of the top community college programs in Alabama. He then transferred to College of Charleston, whose former players include outfielder Brett Gardner of the New York Yankees.
